The Coworker’s Code of Conduct

Honeycomb Manila Coworking is 100% Communal, Synergetic, and Energetic. We thrive on co-dependency, collaboration, even competition.

Honeycomb Manila Coworking, or simply “Honeycomb”, space is an open, collaborative working space. Thus, Residents may not store personal belongings nor equipment. HoneyComb will not be liable for any equipment that will be left unattended, becomes damaged or is removed from the premises.

Please be considerate of others. Since this is shared space, Residents may be asked to relocate as needed.

Please conduct discussions and take phone calls to outside of the work area so as to maintain a quiet work environment.

There will be no holding of classes/workshops without prior written approval from HoneyComb.

Office hours are 9 AM – 10PM, Mondays to Saturdays.

Keep your space clean. You may use cleaning materials and supplies from the kitchen closet. Please handle carefully fragile things. You pay for anything you break.

Sleeping is not allowed unless in connection with a scheduled event; naps are OK.

Food and drinks are allowed, but please mind the cleanliness of your workspace. Food trash should be disposed at once. Please be mindful of the food smell and capacity of the refrigerator. Clean out day for lockers and the refrigerator is every Saturday, 10AM (which means if you leave a soda or a half-eaten lasagna on Friday night, don’t expect to be reunited with it on Monday morning.)

Guests of Residents are welcome provided they have a daily pass (Php400/day). A tour of the facility can be arranged in advance with HoneyComb. Daily pass guests may use the coworking space. Honeycomb may, at any time, ask you and your guest/s to leave at its discretion. If you need to entertain clients or other guests, you may do so in the semi-private spaces of the Conservatorium or the August room.

The Director reserves the right to grant written special privileges to any individual or company. The Director has discretionary review for all policies, and may change policies without prior notice. He/She may override rules incompatible with national laws, local ordinances, our lease agreement, public safety, good taste, common sense, or company vision. The Director’s decision is final. No one other than Director may enter into a legal contract.

Membership fees are renewed automatically, but you can cancel anytime for any reason. There is no penalty but unused portion of fees are non-refundable. No installments, transfers, or substitutions — and no exceptions.

Refunds are issued only if the errors are ours. All sales are final. There will be no transfers, credits or extensions.

Reimbursements are done with prior written approval.

USE OF SPACE/EQUIPMENT/FACILITY

The HoneyComb Coworking collaborative area can be used for small events such as classes or workshops as long as they match culturally with Honeycomb’s ideals.

No activities that bog down the internet will be allowed, like downloading pirated files using bittorrent or other activities that consume excessive bandwidth like multi-player online gaming, live streaming of TV shows/movies, etc. Software will flag offenders without invading your privacy.

Honeycomb has the right to use any picture or media received from you or taken of you in connection with Honeycomb for publicity or promotion purposes, and you waive compensation therefrom. (Hello, Instagram and #hashtag party.)

BUILDING POLICY

Vehicles that are parked in other tenant’s spaces or are parked illegally in the street may be towed, so please be advised you’re parking in some place legit. No overnight parking, no storing, no repairs. This rule applies to Residents and Guest/s. For events, you may need staff to direct parking or hire valets.

Honeycomb or its parking may not be used as a residence.

No pets/animals are allowed.

EVENTS, JELLIES, LECTURES, et al.

Your event must be approved first by the Director before you advertise. If the name Honeycomb Manila Coworking is included in the event’s title, the approval should also state the same.

You are responsible for obtaining the necessary permit/s from the city or national authorities.

You must be present to personally supervise the entire event.

All contractors you hire must be duly licensed, bonded, and name Honeycomb as additional insured.

You may charge for your events and the materials provided, with prior approval from Honeycomb.

Honeycomb Residents may sit in and observe without paying, unless otherwise noted. All events should have a discounted rate for your fellow Honeycomb Resident Coworkers.

Bring your projectors or other equipment, materials, handouts, and other supplies you will need to run your event. (Please make sure you pack them up and bring them with you after the event, too.)

You may want to arrange the room in a specific way but you need to do it with your own team. In this case, you will need to put the room back after the event to the way it was. We may bill you, depending on the work or assistance you require.

Your set-up time is included in the approved event hour/s, so it is suggested that you consider this carefully.

If you cancel your event for whatever reason, it is your responsibility to inform HoneyComb as well as in your advertisements.

After the event, you are expected to haul away excess garbage.

You are responsible for any damages to the facility/equipment during your event and you agree to pay on demand and without challenge.

Please refill supplies consumed, especially if your guests will be using shared supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc.
